Adobe Connect Audio Instructions
This is a step-by-step guide for Setting up a microphone on any computer for use within an Adobe Connect Meeting Room.
Once the Meeting room has opened select the Meeting menu from the main menu bar.
Open the Audio Setup Wizard
Select the Audio Setup Wizard... from the drop-down menu.
Audio Setup Wizard Opens
The Audio Setup Wizard dialog window will appear. Select the Next button.
Audio Setup Wizard - Step 1
The first step will test the computer speakers. Select the Play Sound button to see if any sound comes out of the speakers.
Select the Next button if sound has successfully played over the computer speakers.
Audio Setup Wizard - Step 2
The next step will be to select the recording device. Select the Microphone to be tested and select the Next button.
Audio Setup Wizard - Step 3
The next step will test the devices' ability to successfully record sound. Select the Allow button on the small Adobe Flash Player Settings dialog window.
Test Sound Recording
Select the Record button and speak slowly into the microphone.
Notice the Blue bar moving across the screen as the microphone records. This is the microphone volume level. If the level is short as shown in the image speak louder or move the microphone closer. Try to get the blue bar half way across the available space. This will ensure the volume adjustment is working.
After a comfortable recording level has been achieved select the Stop button.
Select the Play Recording button to listen to the recording.
Select the Stop Playing button. If the recording is satisfactory select the Next button. If a new recording needs to take place for microphone adjustments select the Record button again.
Audio Setup Wizard - Step 4
The next step is to check the surrounding area background noise. Select the Test Silence button.
Select the Next button when the Silence Test has successfully completed.
Audio Setup Successful
Select the Finish button. The Microphone has been successfully setup.
